SHINE 2023

My photo game at this year’s SHINE wasn’t super strong - but the connections were, and that’s what counts.

We were missing a few key faces this year, but I loved being with those who *were* there, and making new friends as well. 

I loathe the photo from the awards dinner, but I was grateful and proud to be recognized as a top seller for the fifth year in a row (#13 this time).

This is always a fun and inspiring weekend. The longer I work with Noonday, the more this conference becomes about time spent with my friends and fellow ambassadors - but that is time that really does inspire me to keep up with this work. 

Laura’s Dozen

Laura rang in her twelfth year with food, family, and fun with her bff - in other words, as usual!

Not-so-usual was having Grampy available to prepare schnitzel for dinner, which we ate on Near Year’s so that Meghan could spend the night. It was delicious, and we followed it with a Concorde Fire-inspired birthday cake.

The next day, after a leisurely morning with electronics, I took the girls to Main Event, where they played arcade games and a couple rounds of laser tag (with a lunch break at Tropical Smoothie). After collecting their desired prizes, we headed back to our place to hang out for a while before Meghan had to head home to prepare for the return to school (she started one day before Laura).

We rounded out the celebration with burgers for dinner and a movie night, along with gifts and more cake, of course. It’s lovely to bookend the holiday season by celebrating our girl!
