Hole of My Heart

Laura's front tooth has been wiggly for a while, but given that I didn't see her actively wiggling it, I feared we would once again be headed to the dentist for her assistance in removing it. So imagine my surprise when I arrived home last night to Laura jumping up and down, shouting, "Mommy! Guess what?? I lost my tooth!" Turns out munching on a pickle got the job done.
As darling as she is with that gap-toothed smile, the note she wrote *really* captured my heart. On a day when our oldest child spent three hours with a driving instructor and our middle child officially outgrew youth sizes in shoes, this was a lovely slice of childhood innocence that I know to treasure whole-heartedly.

Our First, But Definitely Not Last, ATLANTA UNITED Game

The long-awaited Atlanta United game that we booked for Danny's birthday finally rolled around, and it did not disappoint! The Mercedes-Benz Stadium is everything everyone has reported it to be, the logistics of getting to the game were smooth, and the crowd was as enthusiastic as we had heard.

Better still, Danny and Luke were clearly so pumped to be there and to be there together. Tim, Clare and I really enjoyed it as well, and we are already talking about returning soon.
The game ended in a tie, which wasn't the hoped-for outcome, but it speaks volumes that this didn't dampen our experience. Especially since we did get to experience the roar of the crowd when the home team scored a goal!
