Among the many appealing elements of Grandma and Grandpa's house in Buffalo is the fact that they hung on to Tim's and Karen's old toys. Sure, Star Wars figures, Playmobil, Strawberry Shortcake and the like are still available in stores, but there's something pretty darn cool about playing with the originals. Especially knowing that your daddy played with those very same toys in his near-mythical childhood.
This summer, Danny was particularly smitten with the bin of Tim's old G.I. Joe action figures and attack vehicles. And when the man himself arrived in town, Danny couldn't wait to lure him into the basement for an extended playdate. It looked something like the above, though the photo doesn't completely capture the happiness radiating from the two of them.

Jason's mom has all of his Star Wars toys - I'm sure we'll have a similar scene in the years to come - so cute!
